MARIE CARUSO-TERESI, ARTIST, LPAT, MPS, ATR-BC

Director of INNER TRUTH ARTS

Marie Caruso-Teresi is a NJ, Licensed, board-certified art therapist holding her MPS in Art Therapy & Creativity Development from Pratt Institute. She received her Bachelors degree in Fine Art from Montclair State University.

It is Marie's firm belief that art therapy is the bridge that reaches reach many who are misunderstood or unable to communicate directly. Her approach is to guide clients through the healing process to achieve self-discovery, new insights, develop positive skills, and find their inner truth.

Marie currently offers tele-heath sessions only.

Marie is also an exhibiting artist whose journey began with an undergraduate degree in fine arts, specifically painting. Her lifelong commitment to creating art is deeply intertwined with her practice as an art therapist, where art becomes a vital tool for self-care.

Through her work, Marie emphasizes the importance of debriefing and releasing emotions, allowing her to connect with deeper understandings of herself and others. She integrates meditation, movement, and visual arts to achieve transformative goals, aiming to create spaces for individuals to explore their inner landscapes.

Her recent pieces reflect a thoughtful consideration of the vagus nerve and body-based experiences, highlighting the connection between art and emotional well-being. Marie’s art encourages vulnerability and fosters personal transformation, inviting viewers to engage with their own journeys of self-discovery.
